Goddess Look Hair and Beauty was born out of one woman’s vision, as a mom, a wife and young professional to create reasonable and quality hair options for ALL women, particularly women of color. As women, we are always so busy taking care of the world that we often neglect our own needs.

While every woman deserves a trip to the salon for pampering and some good old fashioned “me time”, that basic luxury has proven to be impossible to achieve at times. While the need for self-care still exists, this company seeks to make beauty and hair routines accessible to women in particular, as well as men and children.

There is an ugly misconception that is permeating in our community, where African American women are expected to conform to the norms established for our race and gender. It is for these reasons that I also wanted to incorporate an educational platform where women can feel free to learn, share and express themselves with out being criticized for their beauty choices.

Enjoy this labor of love Goddesses!

Our motivation…

Phinda and Kavien Hillmon are co-owners of Goddess Look Hair and Beauty. They are products of Clark Atlanta University, a Historically Black College (HBCU) in Atlanta, GA. Kavien has over 15 years of experience in business development, accounting and finances. Motivated by their love and FAITH in God, and their desire to build a legacy of wealth for their family, this duo joined forces to launch this worthy endeavor.

Our Philosophy

Every woman is a Goddess and deserves to be treated as such. Goddess-like treatment should be a practice that is adopted by all women of color. Being a Goddess is to love one’s self and to celebrate other women of color. We strive to promote the following:

  • Positivism among women of color

  • Love for our heritage

  • Freedom to BE

We refuse to be placed in a box and required to conform with the structures of society when it comes to our beauty and our appearances. We should feel free to wear our hair in a manner that inspires us, and we have the tools and mechanisms to support ALL Goddesses.
